Delhi airport shooting reports were false

Indian authorities have denied reports that six men were shot at Delhi airport. Earlier tonight airport officials told the BBC that shots had been fired and that a number of gunmen had been either killed or injured. But later Reuters reported that "sharp sounds" had caused "a scare" at the International airport and that no-one was injured. Meanwhile tensions remain high following last week's terrorist attacks in Mumbai which left 179 dead and more than 300 injured [BBC].
